Aerie Aviary is located in Falls Church, Virginia. We raise Lady Gouldian Finches in a vast array of colors, and strive to produce the most hearty birds in exotic color combinations. In addition to our Gouldians, we also have several Society Finches who serve as wonderful "teacher birds" to aviary newcomers who may be picky eaters or cautious about trying out the bird bath. Societies also provide a great deal of comedy in our aviary. We
selectively breed our Gouldians at their peak condition and only breed a few
pairs at a time. Because of this, our selection of available birds may be
limited. Our
site includes information on keeping happy and healthy Lady Gouldian finches, a
gallery of photos from the aviary, and a listing of birds we have for sale.
We just added a page with pictures of babies in the nest box as well!
In addition, we have an innovative way of keeping track of the identity
of our birds using simple colored leg bands, and we share that method with you,
as well as offer our bands for sale, on the leg bands page. Finally, we
have recipes listed for the various food items we make for our flock.
